Cross Cultural Care on-line training program

Introduction
Welcome to the Cross Cultural Care on-line training program. This program was developed by HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education and was designed to provide prepared practice teams with a set of core competencies in cross cultural care and service. The program was adapted for an on-line format from six live presentations that were given at HealthPartners Riverside Clinic and contains the audio tape and power point slides from those presentations. It is divided into six training modules, each approximately one hour in length. You simply click on the link and sit back in your chair and listen. Each one-hour modules is further divided into fifteen to twenty minute sections, thus enabling you to take a break between sections if you choose.

Technical Requirements
This learning activity is designed for optimal use with Internet Explorer or Netscape version 4.5 or higher. To view the program, you will need to have speakers on your computer or a set of standard headphones.

How to Run the Program
To begin the program, open the link below titled Cross Cultural Care Modules and click on "Section 1" of the module you wish to view. You may need to adjust the volume on your speakers to hear the lecturer's voice. The program will run on it's own and cannot be paused, but you can use the red arrows at the bottom of the screen to reverse or advance to the previous or next screen. At the end of the section, you will be prompted to go to the next section. You will need to close the window to return to the menu and begin the next section.

Since this program was adapted from live presentations, the verbal portion accompanying the slides ends in some places without the speaker completing his/her sentence. The verbal content was edited to assure the essential content was included in this on-line format.
